|Five distinguished houses
With less than fifty houses and a population of just over 110 this hamlet is prepared to take on a leading role in the life of the Eastern Ormánság. Considering that there are three active sports clubs here, that there is a forum here working like Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park, that a new church is being built and that they have decided to organise the Ormánság Fete, then this avowed intention is perhaps not too overboard. The name of the village first appears at the time of the Mongol invasion, in the form of Pyzky or Pysky. The visitor today will find a row of well-kept houses and a friendly main square and fountain. A few paces from the square the tour station of the Dráva Project has been built, where one may relax and enjoy the exhibition of agricultural relics of the area. Also plans are underway to make an agro-park with numerous units. What is happening currently is the renovation of the houses, of which the most beautiful receive the Distinguished House prize, five of which were most recently awarded. It is no accident that many people move here from other parts of the country, and from abroad.
